Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest

 

On Tuesday, November 12, a deputy with the Echols County Sheriff's Office was patrolling the area of hwy 94 at the 3 mile marker when he observed a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling east.  After stopping the vehicle for a minor traffic violation, the deputy noticed that the driver Tina Marie Noe had a nervous demeanor.  The deputy then deployed his k-9 in which resulted in a positive alert on the vehicle for the odor of illegal narcotics.  Upon a subsequent search of the vehicle several prescription containers containing various controlled substances were discovered.  Noe was then taken into custody and transported to the Lowndes County Jail where she was booked and processed on six felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and tail light lense a requirement.  If anyone has any drug related information you can contact Sheriff Courson unanimously.
