Felony Marijuana Arrest

On November 2, 2011 the Echols County Sheriff's Office and the South Georgia Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 150 Walnut Lane, the residence of Philip Allen Touchton. The Sheriff’s Office had received numerous complaints of possible drug activity coming from the residence. After a thorough search, approx two ounces of suspected marijuana was recovered from inside the residence. Phillip Allen Touchton was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Touchton was already on probation for a similar drug offense, which occurred at the same residence in 2010. Touchton was transported to the Lowndes County Jail for processing.
