Moonshine Still PDF Print E-mail

On Wednesday June 15, 2011 The Echols County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a forest fire located off of Highway 94 E around the 23-mile marker on the Wolf Bay Hunting Club. Upon arrival Investigators located an active moonshine still located in the woods at the point of origin of the fire. The fire consumed approximately 2 acres of timberland belonging to Superior Pine. The evidence was collected at the scene and the GBI bomb disposal unit was contacted to dispose of the remaining still.
